Plot

In this vibrant, feature-length cinematic expansion of the animated series Queer Duck, created by noteworthy The Simpsons scripter Mike Reiss, we dive headfirst into a sweet yet scandalous exploration of gay stereotypes in America. As colorful as the feathers of our protagonist, Queer Duck (voiced by Jim J. Bullock), the film serves up a banquet of pop-culture references spanning from classic cinema to Gilbert and Sullivan, all seasoned with the wit reminiscent of the rapid-fire humor The Simpsons is famous for. Queer Duck's world is turned upside down when he finds himself in the throes of a relationship crisis with his partner of 18 months, the Harvey Fierstein doppelganger, Stephen Arlo "Openly" Gator (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson). As "Openly" Gator offloads his heartache to a sympathetic Conan O'Brien, Queer Duck is drawn into a whirlwind romance with the brassy Broadway diva, Lola Buzzard (voiced by Jackie Hoffman), prompting him to question whether he would be happier living a straight life. As he embarks on a personal odyssey of self-discovery, Queer Duck's journey takes him on a rollercoaster of emotions, culminating in a heated showdown with a television evangelist at the delightfully rebranded theme park, Fairyland. This tale of love, identity, and personal conflict is as charming as it is outrageous - a must-see, captured in a cascade of laughter, tears and fabulousness. It's a story so eccentric and enthralling, you truly have to see it to believe it.
