Plot

The summer of 1984 sees two surprising groups join forces in class unity and push back against unjust systems. The United Kingdom's National Union of Mineworkers has been striking for better labor rights, but it's been a protracted battle that has had a major impact on the lives of the miners and their families. When a group of queer activists in London decide to raise money for the striking workers, the results are complicated. The traditionally conservative blue collar mineworkers aren't necessarily comfortable with the gay and lesbian community looking to work with them, but they'll slowly develop bonds of trust as they combine their forces for a greater cause.
