Pick Me Up (2006)

Stranded on a desolate two-lane highway, nestled within an eerie forest, a motley crew of travelers find their journey abruptly halted when their bus suffers a mechanical breakdown. Among them is Stacia, a recently divorced woman who decides to brave the daunting 20-kilometer trek to a distant motel, leaving her fellow passengers behind in the isolated wilderness. Simultaneously, Birdy and Danny, a peculiar duo from the same marooned bus, find themselves hitching a ride with Jim Wheeler, a seemingly helpful truck driver. Unbeknownst to them, their newfound companion harbors a chilling secret- he is, in fact, a deranged serial killer whose psychosis teeters on the edge of explosion. Back on the immobilized bus, the fearful Marie and her husband, paralyzed by the unknown that lurks 'out there', choose to stay put, hoping for a rescue. Their tense vigil is interrupted by the arrival of Walker, a mysterious hitchhiker who wanders out of the forest gloom. Is he a beacon of hope, or does he bring with him a surge of fresh terror? In this forsaken stretch of nowhere, an uncanny turf war unfolds, pitting two remorseless serial killers against one another. As violence escalates, the stranded travelers are ensnared in a deadly game, their only means of survival being to outwit their sadistic hunters.
