Bobby Fischer was one of the best chess players in the world, but he found himself briefly become an international celebrity when the chessboard became an unexpected front in the Cold War. The 1972 World Chess Championship is coming down to a bout between American Bobby Fischer and Soviet Boris Spassky. The outcome of the fight could have a major impact on world opinion, and Bobby finds himself as a pawn in the battle between the world's two greatest superpowers. Spassky is a formidable enough player in his own right, but Fischer will also have to deal with the paranoia of this particular bout.
