In the dusty landscape of the Mexican/Arizona border, government agent John Wyatt finds himself on the trail of a cunning counterfeit ring. His pursuit of justice leads him to intertwine his fate with Doc Carter's traveling medicine show, where he moonlights as a sharpshooter. Carter, recently released from prison on counterfeit charges, is also on a quest - to unmask the former partner who framed him, Curly Joe Gale. Gale, a puppeteer of deceit, operates from the shadows and holds sway in the nearby town of Los Piedros.
