Pandemonium (1987)

In the dead of night, a man in a straitjacket, seemingly a fugitive from an insane asylum, stumbles upon an unsuspecting girl on a park bench. He unravels his unique tale, one filled with madness, mayhem, and a touch of the supernatural. Once a promising Egyptologist, his life took an unexpected turn when he relocated to a dilapidated film studio turned boarding house. The eerie establishment, situated in the seaside town of Babylon, Australia, is owned by a malevolent wheelchair-bound woman, eager to offload the property. A motley crew of eccentric tenants inhabits this curious dwelling - a genetically engineered son of Hitler being groomed to become the next Fuhrer, his wicked lesbian Nazi aunts, a voodoo-infused zombie, a vampire scientist, and other bizarre characters. Their routine existence is disrupted when a young, naked, virginal woman, raised by dingoes and determined to connect with her biological family, arrives in town. Unbeknownst to her, her estranged mother is the sinister landlady who had left her in the wilderness to perish years ago. The girl's arrival triggers pandemonium. Her mother, repulsed by the sudden presence of her long-lost daughter, plots to eliminate her. The tenants, each harboring their own dark intentions, become obsessed with the girl. The lesbian aunts schemed to offer her as a bride to their Fuhrer-in-training nephew, but others intervene, fueling the chaos. Even her dingo stepbrother, a man in costume, and her real supernatural father make appearances, further disrupting the plans of the tenants who need a virgin for their own wicked purposes. Amidst the chaos, the Egyptologist makes a revelation - the girl is the prophesied Second Coming of Christ, destined to thwart the impending apocalypse. Paradoxically, the tenants conclude that the only way to assist her in fulfilling this divine purpose is through crucifixion. However, the girl vehemently protests this ludicrous plan. This farcical, slapstick, supernatural dark comedy concludes with an unexpected twist that leaves everyone, including the girl, flabbergasted. Filled with sexual innuendos and a sprinkle of Shakespearean spoof, this is a tale that takes a walk on the wild side of absurdity.
