Plot

On an Easter weekend, Palm Springs, California transforms into a playground for hormone-fueled college students seeking fun and flirtations. This year, the town's tranquil oasis is invaded by an eclectic group, including Jim Munroe, a medical student and college basketball player; Biff Roberts, a comedic spirit; Doug "Stretch" Fortune, a Hollywood stuntman hailing from Texas; Eric Dean, a wealthy playboy neglected by his equally playful father; Gayle Lewis, a Beverly Hills socialite posing as a wealthy college student; and Amanda North, a charming tomboy. This whirlwind of youthful energy spells trouble for the beleaguered Palm Springs Chief of Police Dixon, who is already on edge with his daughter, Bunny Dixon, being the same age as the town's invaders. Bunny, a responsible young woman, finds herself drawn to the charismatic Jim, further exacerbating the Chief's stress. Meanwhile, Biff, Jim's well-meaning but clumsy roommate, attempts to win over Amanda with a dubious love gadget. While Gayle, initially smitten by the affluent Eric, finds her attention shifting towards the rugged Texan cowboy, Stretch. As the youngsters navigate the maze of romance and revelation, their basketball coach, Fred Campbell, unexpectedly arrives, attempting to maintain order while simultaneously courting Naomi Yates, the owner of the motel where the students are staying. Naomi, already preoccupied with her mischievous nine-year-old son "Boom-Boom," is caught off guard by Campbell's advances. Over the course of this fun-filled, chaotic weekend, the students experience the highs and lows of love, as they explore whether their fleeting relationships have the potential to last beyond the sun-soaked vacation. Palm Springs Weekend is a heady mix of youth, love, and laughter set against the backdrop of a town that is as unpredictable as the students it hosts.
