As spring blossoms at Monster High, Lagoona whisks her ghoulfriends away for an aquatic adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. Their voyage takes a perilous turn when they are marooned on an enigmatic island with a chilling skull-shaped landscape. Initially, they bask in the exotic hospitality until a sinister truth unfurls. They are pawns in a devious scheme by the smooth-talking showman, Farnum, who aims to ensnare the elusive and enigmatic creature known as "the Beast". In a twist of fate, Frankie is captured by the Beast. However, ensnared in the creature's lair, she discovers the Beast is not what he seems. With courage and cunning, Frankie switches roles from captive to savior, leading the Beast back to Monster High.
