Packages from Daddy (2016)

In the heart of a whimsical boat art shop, 9-year-old Lan and his father shared their love for craftsmanship. Their bond, however, is abruptly severed when Lan returns home one day to the devastating news of his father's death. His world spirals, his sister retreats into silence, and his mother clings onto the ghost of their father, setting a place for him at each meal as though he were still alive. Lan's life becomes a canvas of sorrow, further smeared by the cruel taunts of his classmates, leading him to rebellion and escape. Amidst the storm of his life, a glimmer of hope arrives in the form of an unusual package. A peculiar clock, frozen in time, sent by his father before his demise. Lan embarks on a quest to revive the lifeless timepiece, visiting countless shops, but to no avail. Yet, he holds onto the belief that solving the enigma of this clock will bring answers and perhaps, a sense of closure. 'Packages from Daddy' is a poignant tale of a young boy navigating through the rugged seas of loss, armed only with a mysterious clock and the hope of understanding.
