Castle in the Sky (1986)

This steampunk anime follows Pazu, an engineering apprentice, who catches an unconscious girl from the sky: Sheeta. Pazu soon learns that Sheeta is caught up in a magical adventure and trying to escape a fleet of sky pirates. Pazu decides to help Sheeta, even though it means leaving behind the only town he's known, and the two travel the skies in a variety of steam-powered, gear-covered contraptions. Will they find the floating castle of Sheeta's dreams where they can stay safe or end up walking a sky plank?
