Set against the tumultuous backdrop of the year 1941, "Our Time Will Come" plunges you into the heart of Hong Kong, a city held captive by Japanese invaders. Amidst the chaos, the valiant Dongjiang guerilla unit embarks on an audacious mission to liberate esteemed intellectuals from the war-ridden city. Caught in the whirlwind of conflict is Fang Lan, a primary school teacher striving to maintain a semblance of normality in a dilapidated Wanchai flat she shares with her mother. With schools now a relic of a peaceful past, she unwittingly becomes a part of the guerillas' daring rescue operation for famed novelist Mao Dun. As fate would have it, she crosses paths with Blackie Lau, the fearless captain of the guerillas' Urban and Firearms unit. Impressed by Lan's cool-headed intelligence, Blackie enlists her in their courageous cause. However, the escalating dangers of the mission prompt Lan's mother to replace her as a courier, resulting in her capture. Left with no choice, Lan must seek assistance from Wing, a former ally now serving the Japanese, to save her mother. "Our Time Will Come" intertwines tales of bravery, sacrifice, and love, inviting viewers to witness a struggle for freedom from the shadows of an oppressive regime.
