On a frosty Christmas Eve, the world-renowned Orient Express finds itself stranded amidst the snow-capped peaks near a quaint mountain hamlet. This unexpected detour disrupts the serene rhythm of the villagers' lives as they're thrust into the company of the train's eclectic assortment of passengers. Among them is the radiant schoolmistress, Beatrice, who grows weary of Dal Pozzo, the pompous and portly mayor's relentless advances. Her eyes stray towards Jacques, a dashing journalist she misconstrues as a dangerous outlaw, igniting a clandestine romance. Meanwhile, the sight of Roxane, a dazzling vaudeville performer, sparks an innocent passion in the heart of Giovanni, Dal Pozzo's timid nephew. The village pharmacist, too, finds herself fantasizing about a fresh start with Mr. Davis, a laid-back Englishman. As the snow continues to fall and the clock ticks towards Christmas, fate plays its hand, blessing some and testing others on this unexpected holiday detour aboard the Orient Express.
