Australia has been overtaken by a deadly disease that's transforming the country's population into zombies. Kay and Andy have safely weathered the disease so far by living in a house boat off the coast, but their luck runs out when Kay is bit by one of the infected. At the same time, an aboriginal girl named Thoomi is desperately trying to protect her father. Andy needs to find someone to help his daughter, but he knows deep down that his wife will eventually succumb to the bite. They'll have to decide between a life of solitude or a life among the aboriginals.
