In the tumultuous backdrop of the Philippines, December 1941, amidst the opening salvos of World War II, we find Lt. Commander Matt Sherman at the helm of USS Sea Tiger, a valiant submarine that unfortunately succumbs to a Japanese air raid. At the brink of being dismissed as a sunken casualty, the crew, fueled by resilience and determination, breathe life back into her, patching her up as best they can. Enter the enigmatic Lt. Nick Holden, a staff officer devoid of any visible naval experience, yet possessing a unique talent - an uncanny knack for scavenging parts and supplies. Together, they navigate the wounded Sea Tiger towards Australia, hoping to secure comprehensive repairs.
