Plot

In the tumultuous backdrop of the Philippines, December 1941, amidst the opening salvos of World War II, we find Lt. Commander Matt Sherman at the helm of USS Sea Tiger, a valiant submarine that unfortunately succumbs to a Japanese air raid. At the brink of being dismissed as a sunken casualty, the crew, fueled by resilience and determination, breathe life back into her, patching her up as best they can. Enter the enigmatic Lt. Nick Holden, a staff officer devoid of any visible naval experience, yet possessing a unique talent - an uncanny knack for scavenging parts and supplies. Together, they navigate the wounded Sea Tiger towards Australia, hoping to secure comprehensive repairs. Their journey takes an unexpected detour when they find a deserted US-held island, home to nothing but five stranded Army nurses. Suddenly, the tight quarters of the submarine become tighter, and complications begin to surface like bubbles in the deep sea. As they inch towards their destination, they face the daunting task of painting the sub. With only red and white paint at their disposal, they mix the two, unintentionally christening the world's first Pink submarine. Forced to abandon the dock in the face of an air attack, they find themselves at sea in a glaringly pink vessel, still housing five women in the close confines of their submarine. Operation Petticoat is a tale of survival, camaraderie, and unexpected adventures, where the world of military discipline meets the chaos of unexpected company, all aboard the world's only pink submarine. The story sails through waves of humor and tension, promising to keep you captivated till the very end.
