Plot

Set in the aesthetically lavish yet practical backdrop of Savory's department store, Eddie Hatch, a talented yet unassuming window dresser, inadvertently stumbles into a world of enchantment. The store's affluent owner, Whitfield Savory II, has procured a $200,000 statue of Venus, intending to exhibit the celestial piece in his store's museum. When Eddie, in a moment of whimsy, plants a kiss on the statue, the stone cold Venus springs into vivacious life. The resplendent Venus, the goddess of love herself, instantly declares her eternal bond to the bemused Eddie. However, Eddie, who is in a complex relationship with his girlfriend, is initially hesitant about this divine proclamation. As the film delves into the labyrinth of love, Eddie's girlfriend finds herself drawn to his best friend, while Savory discovers the long-concealed affections of his devoted assistant, Molly Stewart. As the story unfurls, Eddie is irresistibly charmed by Venus' ethereal beauty and divine grace. However, when he is wrongfully accused of purloining the now absent statue, Venus, understanding the gravity of the situation, decides to return to her stone pedestal. A crestfallen Eddie is left lamenting the loss of his celestial love. But hope springs eternal when he encounters a new store employee with an uncannily familiar name - Venus Jones. "One Touch of Venus" is a multi-layered romantic comedy that takes you on a magical journey through the corridors of love, friendship, and divine intervention. It is a testament to the enchanting unpredictability of love, whether it's found in the bustling aisles of a department store or the silent reverence of a museum.
