One A.M. (1916)

Inebriated to the point of disarray, our protagonist Charlie staggers home in the wee hour of One A.M. after an unrestrained night of revelry. He arrives at the doorstep of his temporary abode, only to be greeted by the cold realization that his key is missing. Bereft of his key, an open window tantalizingly presents itself as an unorthodox entrance. As Charlie ventures into the house, he soon discovers that his real struggle has just begun. Every common household item, every innocuous piece of furniture morphs into a formidable foe, standing defiantly in his path. A seemingly rebellious Murphy bed proves to be an unexpected adversary, joining the ranks of the domestic impediments working relentlessly against him. In this surreal exploration of a man's struggle with his own house, Charlie embarks on a drunken odyssey, weaving in and out of rooms, engaging in a hilarious and chaotic confrontation with his surroundings. Amidst a pandemonium of his own making, Charlie's quest for peace becomes a labyrinth of comic hurdles. Will he ever find tranquillity in this mirthful battle against the ordinary at the unholy hour of One A.M.?
