Oliver Sherman (2011)

When Sherman Oliver, a solitary war veteran finds himself adrift and disconnected, his yearning for a semblance of family prompts him to seek out Franklin Page, the soldier who once saved him during the ferocity of battle. Franklin has since swapped the chaos of war for a tranquil rural idyll, complete with a loving wife, two children, and the comfort of a steady job. Upon Sherman's arrival, he appears to be a harmlessly eccentric man, out of place in the serene town. However, as he ingrains himself deeper into the Page family's life, a darker side emerges. His volatile anger, gnawing jealously, and profound resentment begin to claw at the surface, casting a menacing shadow over the peaceful existence that Franklin has painstakingly constructed. The tranquility of the rural town hangs precipitously in the balance as the violence Franklin thought he had left on the battlefield starts to seep into his home and community. The once safe haven teeters on the brink, threatened by the unsettling presence of Oliver Sherman, a man defined by the war he seemingly never left.
