Nightmare Man (2006)

In a desperate bid to resolve her fertility woes, Ellen acquires an African hand-carved mask from Rome, a talisman she believes holds the key to her and her husband William's dreams of parenthood. However, when an incorrect mask arrives, Ellen becomes convinced that the grotesque visage of the 'Nightmare Man' is haunting her, necessitating a cocktail of pills to keep the demonic entity at bay. Medical professionals dismiss her claims as the ravings of a paranoid schizophrenic, and William, reluctantly agreeing, decides to take his wife to the remote Devonshine Institute for treatment. Their journey is abruptly halted when their car runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere, forcing William to leave Ellen alone while he trudges to a gas station miles away.
