Plot

Subhas Chandra Bose, born into a distinguished Bengali lineage, devoted his early life to the monumental task of liberating India from British rule. His path intersected with luminaries like Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohandas Gandhi, yet their slow and peaceful resistance methods stirred frustration in him, leading to his split from the Congress Party. The British, unnerved by his fervor, incarcerated him but were forced to release him following his life-threatening hunger strike. However, their surveillance could not hinder his escape, incognito as Pathan Mohammad Ziauddin, across the Indian border into Afghanistan. Bose's mission was to reach Russia and muster an Indian force to overthrow the British, but his endeavors came to naught. Instead, he resurfaced as Italian Orlando Mashtar in Germany, where he managed to sway the Nazis to his cause, despite Hitler's expressed preference for British colonial rule over India in his book, "Mein Kampf". Bose's persuasive prowess allowed him to recruit Indian-born British soldiers as prisoners of war, marking the inception of his movement. Amidst all this, he secretly wed his German secretary, Emily Sanken, to the chagrin of the Germans who held racial purity in high regard. Bose's attempt to rally his troops through Russia and Afghanistan was foiled by Hitler's declaration of war on Russia. Undeterred, he reached Singapore via a submarine, where he enlisted Japanese aid to lead an army of 8000 men and women against the formidable British. It was here that he discovered he was a father, as Emily had given birth to their daughter, Anita. However, the tide of destiny shifted again with America's entry into the war and the subsequent atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, leading to Japan's unconditional surrender. Subhas Chandra Bose was left with a choice: initiate an almost impossible battle against the British, Australians, and Americans, or disband his brave but beleaguered army.
