Plot

Fannette, a woman who appears cool in the face of life's harsh realities, is a fortress of inner turmoil, fueled by the simmering embers of a past love, Philippe. She finds solace in the timeless tale of romance, "An Affair to Remember", a film she watches relentlessly. When a letter from Philippe arrives, asking her to meet him at the iconic Empire State Building, she is swept off her feet into a whirlwind of anticipation. Simultaneously, Fannette is engrossed in writing a book about an elderly painter and plans a trip to New York under the pretense of gathering photographs of his artwork. Her publisher pairs her with Matt, a seemingly carefree and spontaneous photographer who is unexpectedly assertive in expressing his attraction towards her. Caught in a tangle of past love and present attraction, the question remains: Will Fannette find her heart's true home? Will she finally allow herself the simple joy of a smile? This story is a captivating exploration of lost love, profound passion, and the possibility of second chances.
