In the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, Carol Hunnicut, a diligent publishing house editor, finds herself ensnared in a perilous web of crime and conspiracy. She naively steps into danger on a blind date with Michael Tarlow, a lawyer entangled with the formidable mob boss, Leo Watts.
