Mystery Date (1991)

Tom McHugh, an ordinary teenager with a secret crush on Geena Matthews, the attractive older girl next door, finds his life taking a thrilling turn when his suave law student brother, Craig, swoops in from California. With their parents away, Craig lends his charismatic expertise in romance to his younger sibling, along with a classic car and a wad of cash, all aimed towards helping Tom win over his dream date. As the evening unfolds, however, the seemingly ideal date night begins to unravel into an unpredictable nightmare. Tom's attempts to impress Geena are derailed by a disturbing discovery in the trunk of Craig's car - a dead body. This unexpected twist plunges Tom into a whirlwind of chaos, crime, and confusion, turning his simple boy-meets-girl story into a nerve-wracking roller coaster. The deeper Tom gets entangled in the night's mayhem, the more he realizes that his admired elder brother isn't the gallant figure he had always imagined.
