In the throes of heartbreak, Elizabeth seeks solace within the warmly lit confines of Jeremy's late-night diner, her solace found in the sweetness of blueberry pie a la mode and their shared conversations. Amidst the quiet din, Jeremy watches her, her head cradled on the counter, lost in dreams. Suddenly, driven by her anguish, Elizabeth bids farewell to the city that never sleeps and ventures to Memphis. There, she juggles multiple jobs, one within the grasp of a despairing cop, drowning his own heartbreak in liquor, his ex-lover haunting the places where he and Elizabeth cross paths. Elizabeth's journey then takes her further, to the glimmering lights of Nevada, where she finds herself in the whirlwind of a casino. Saving every penny for a car of her own, she instead stakes Leslie, a down-on-her-luck gambler, in a high stakes game. In the aftermath, Elizabeth drives Leslie to the buzzing heart of Vegas, to confront Leslie's estranged father. A kaleidoscope of fractured relationships unfolds before her. But amidst it all, Jeremy's diner remains - a beacon back in New York. Will she return? As Elizabeth navigates these shattered lives, she grapples with her own broken heart, the taste of blueberry nights lingering bittersweet on her tongue.
