Plot

In the frosty aftermath of the Ice Age, a menacing Machine descends from the cosmos, designed to twist mankind into grotesque mutants. However, a valiant hero emerges, defeating the Machine and trapping it under an imposing seal. Fast forward to the year 2707, where a planet drained of resources is governed by four powerful Corporations: Mishima, Bauhaus, Capitol, and Imperial, entangled in an unyielding war. Amidst a brutal clash between Capitol and Bauhaus, the ancient seal shatters, and the dormant Machine awakens, unleashing a tide of mutants upon soldiers and civilians alike. A fraction of humanity manages to flee to Mars, leaving the Earth teeming with mutants and the abandoned populace. As the city crumbles under the mutant onslaught, Brother Samuel, a man of deep faith and leader of an archaic brotherhood, clings to the Chronicles, an ancient bible prophesying the mutant invasion. Confronting the Corporations' head, Constantine, Samuel proposes a daring suicide mission to obliterate the Machine, armed with a bomb, a detonator, and the wisdom of the Chronicles. Enlisting the hardened Major 'Mitch' Hunter, the stalwart Bauhaus Lieutenant Maximillian von Steiner, the silent guardian of the Chronicles, Severian, the deadly beauty Corporal Valerie Duval, Corporal Juba Kim Wu, Captain John McGuire, and Corporal Jesus 'El Jesus' de Barrera, they form a disparate team. United by hope and desperation, they are Earth's final bulwark against the mutant menace.
