Plot

In the quaint yet unpredictable rural town, Pete Marshall, a dedicated Trotter pollster, finds himself on a wild goose chase for a lost colleague. He happens upon the Fleagle family, an uncouth clan, with Bert and Mert, trigger-happy brothers who take great delight in threatening prying eyes with their trusty rifles. Yet, the family's matriarch, Ma Johnson, redirects their attention towards a more lucrative endeavor - unraveling the mystery of the $70,000 stash hidden somewhere in their sprawling, dilapidated family mansion, the spoils of cousin Bonnie Fleagle's infamous bank heist. Simultaneously, a desperate Claire Matthews enters the fray. As the daughter of a man wrongfully implicated in Bonnie's criminal enterprise, she is determined to locate the lost loot in hopes of clearing her father's tarnished reputation. She crosses paths with Marshall, and together, they attempt to decrypt the cryptic deathbed clue left by Grandma Fleagle. However, the plot thickens when Mr. Johnson starts serving up deadly dishes, and Bonnie Fleagle herself resurfaces after a daring prison escape. Now, it's a high stakes race against time, with everyone vying to be the first to uncover the hidden fortune. Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast to claim the treasure first? The suspense is palpable in this thrilling game of cat and mouse.
