Plot

Emerging from the cold confines of a prison cell after serving an 18-year life sentence, Cain, a notorious gunslinger with a chilling past, finds himself in a world that is more foreign than familiar. With a lethal legend that echoes in his twelve notches, Cain's return to the wild west is met with ostracism and disdain. Searching for an honest living amidst the scorn, he yearns to trade his blood-stained past for a peaceful future as a rancher. Yet, the gripping shadow of his murderous moniker, "Killer Cain", proves to be an insurmountable barrier, and he finds himself devoid of opportunities for honest work. Fate pushes him into the vibrant canvas of a traveling shooting show, run by the charismatic showman Ruffalo. Cornered into exploiting the very past he wishes to erase, Cain becomes "Killer Cain" once again, the star attraction of Ruffalo's spectacle. Meanwhile, the show's eager young assistant, Billy, threatens to outshine the out-of-practice gunslinger with his swift shooting skills. As Cain navigates this new, unsettling life, he finds himself entangled in a web of old grudges and new enemies, all the while a mysterious stranger lurks in the shadows. Amidst the ensuing chaos, an unexpected chance at love emerges, further complicating his tumultuous journey towards redemption. The film, "More Dead than Alive," weaves Cain's struggle with his haunting past and a tantalizing hope for a better future, into a compelling narrative that will keep viewers on the edge of their seat.
