Fiona Grangely, a rising star in Manhattan's cutthroat real estate industry, finds herself at an unexpected crossroads when her long-term boyfriend, Nate, ends their relationship, citing her relentless dedication to her career. At the same time, a lucrative proposition from her father's old friend, Irwin, to manage the real estate division of his bank, leaves her questioning her priorities. Amidst this personal and professional turbulence, Fiona's childhood friend, Angela, wisely suggests they retreat to the idyllic Vermont inn owned by Fiona's father, Harris, and his new wife, Delia. Once a Wall Street broker, Harris had traded their cherished New York apartment for a charming inn nestled in the Vermont countryside, causing a slight rift between him and Fiona. Upon arrival, Fiona's competitive nature is roused as she collides with the inn's passionate executive chef, Derek, a Vermont native trained in France who is dedicated to showcasing locally sourced food.
