A Bride for Christmas (2012)

In the heart of San Francisco, with the festive holiday cheer of Christmas only weeks away, resides Jessie Patterson, an interior decorator who runs a business with her sister Vivian from their shared apartment. Having recently parted ways with her third fiancé, Mike, Jessie finds herself battling constant cold feet and decides to abandon the pursuit of marriage and serious commitments. She declares a personal moratorium on relationships, believing that she isn't designed for the altar. Enter Aiden MacTiernan, a personal investment advisor with an impressive track record of fleeting romances. His friend and business associate, Matt Harper, insists that women can sense Aiden's commitment-phobia from a mile off. Aiden, however, dismisses this claim, leading to a daring bet between the two friends. Matt challenges Aiden to secure a marriage proposal by Christmas, with Aiden allowed to choose the woman. Fate brings Jessie and Aiden together at an art event, where Aiden, initially charmed by Jessie's looks, selects her as his target. Unaware of Jessie's fresh oath of non-commitment, Aiden sees her as a challenge. Jessie, on the other hand, dismisses Aiden's interest as a mere pickup line, but Vivian hands him Jessie's business card, hoping to secure a new client for their struggling enterprise. As they spend more time together with Jessie redecorating Aiden's condo, genuine feelings begin to sprout. However, numerous obstacles loom on their path to happiness. Mike is still in the picture and determined to outdo Aiden. Despite their growing affection, both Jessie and Aiden see each other as 'damaged goods'—Jessie with her commitment issues and Aiden with his broken home background. Their willingness to alter their unsuccessful personal histories hangs in the balance. But the biggest threat to their budding romance is the bet itself. If Jessie discovers its existence, it could shatter her budding trust in Aiden and ruin their chances of a happy ending.
