Plot

Once a celebrated beauty queen, Rose Raynes now finds herself navigating the mundane labyrinth of a stifling marriage and the sobering transition of motherhood as her son reaches the cusp of independence. The crown of Miss Arizona, resting on her mantle for 15 years, becomes a poignant reminder of her past glories. When the opportunity to teach a life skills class at a local women's shelter presents itself, she dusts off the remnants of her pageantry days in hopes of inspiring a handful of disillusioned women battling the ghosts of abusive relationships. Her idealistic approach, a rehearsed speech titled "Making Your Presence a Present", is met with apathy. Yet, when peril knocks on the shelter's door, it's not Rose's carefully crafted words, but her gleaming Escalade that becomes their beacon of hope. What follows is a nocturnal odyssey through the underbelly of L.A., a journey that leads them through a vibrant drag club scene and the city's most obscure corners. As they strive to survive the night, these women uncover the true essence of their strength and resilience. 'Miss Arizona' is not just a movie—it's a rallying cry for every woman who's been shackled by societal norms and a beacon for those pushed to the fringes of society. This one's for the unheard; this one's for the girls.
