Once a celebrated beauty queen, Rose Raynes now finds herself navigating the mundane labyrinth of a stifling marriage and the sobering transition of motherhood as her son reaches the cusp of independence. The crown of Miss Arizona, resting on her mantle for 15 years, becomes a poignant reminder of her past glories. When the opportunity to teach a life skills class at a local women's shelter presents itself, she dusts off the remnants of her pageantry days in hopes of inspiring a handful of disillusioned women battling the ghosts of abusive relationships. As they strive to survive the night, these women uncover the true essence of their strength and resilience.
