His spinster sister, Evelyn, moves in to care for him, stepping into the shoes of the family caregiver, a role she has always naturally assumed. His daughter, Lillian, views her aunt's attention as an unhealthy fixation, oblivious to her own intense dependency on Jerry. Despite Evelyn's well-intentioned attempts to play matchmaker, Jerry is adamant about finding companionship on his own terms.
