Lenny Freeman is a by-the-book accountant chained to a dream - to bask in the spotlight as a renowned stand-up comedian. However, Lenny's humor, or lack thereof, is a barrier as formidable as a brick wall. His jokes don't tickle, they tank. When his mother's death leaves him with nothing but a mound of debt and a '53 Oldsmobile, Lenny bids farewell to his dull life and sets off to chase his dream, aiming for the glitz of Vegas and the fame promised by Monte Guy's coveted "Stand-Up Stand-Off". Along the dusty road to his dreams, Lenny, against his better judgement, gives a lift to a mysterious drifter named "Hitch". This chance encounter steers his journey off course, leading them to a small-town bar where Lenny's stint as a warm-up act descends into a deadly confrontation with a heckler. Now, with a lifeless body stashed in his trunk, Lenny finds himself entangled in a dark comedy of errors where the laughter is laced with fear. As Lenny and Hitch become fugitives, the body count rises in a morbidly twisted killing spree. But amidst the chaos, a strange phenomenon occurs – Lenny's comedy begins to shine. The more the blood spills, the better he gets at cracking jokes. Trying to shake off his unhinged sidekick and win the heart of his dream girl, Lenny realizes escaping won't be easy. Hitch isn't one to be left behind, and their pact has devilish details intertwined.
