Lupt (2018)

In the heart of the business world thrives Harsh Tandon (Javed Jaaferi), a successful magnate whose life is consumed by his work, leaving little room for his family. Struggling with insomnia, his restless nights are haunted by the fleeting images of unfamiliar faces. At the urging of his wife, Shalini (Niki Walia), and the counsel of his psychiatrist friend, Harsh reluctantly agrees to step away from his business and embark on a much-needed family vacation. The journey brings together an intriguing ensemble: Harsh's caring wife, his daughter Tannu (Meenakshi Dikshit), her photographer fiancé Rahul (Karan Aanand), and their young son Sam (Rishab Chadha). Their destination, the picturesque Nainital. However, an unforeseen accident reroutes them onto a desolate path, far from the main line, a path that leads them to the enigmatic Dev (Vijay Raaz). Their car succumbs to the strain of the journey, and they find themselves at the mercy of Dev, who offers them shelter in his mysterious outhouse. But this refuge quickly turns into a haunting ground as eerie occurrences begin to unfold. Sam, like his father, starts to see visions, but his are more unsettling—a woman and a little girl with her doll. As they delve deeper into the uncanny, the Tandon family realizes that their vacation has taken a terrifying detour. In "Lupt," their fight for survival begins, blurring the lines between reality and the supernatural. Will the Tandon family unravel the mystery of their haunted refuge, or will they become victims of their own vacation?
