Lover Come Back (1961)

In the high-stakes world of advertising, Carol Templeton and Jerry Webster are fierce competitors, working for rival agencies. They are as different as night and day, with Carol's principled, straight-laced approach clashing dramatically with Jerry's unorthodox methods of wining, dining, and seducing his way to lucrative contracts. Carol, riled by Jerry's reckless modus operandi, embarks on a mission to get him ejected from their shared profession. Jerry, always one step ahead, cleverly diverts Carol's plot against him by bribing a potential whistleblower with the promise of stardom in a TV commercial for a non-existent product - VIP. However, in an unforeseen twist, the commercials are accidentally aired, and Jerry's job hangs in the balance unless he can make the phantom product a reality. Jerry ropes in the unwitting Doctor Linus Tyler to help him conjure up the VIP. Meanwhile, Carol, on her relentless quest to outsmart Jerry, seeks the help of the same doctor, to snatch the VIP account. Yet, the two adversaries have never met face-to-face, leading to a comedic case of mistaken identity when Carol confuses Jerry for Doctor Tyler. Jerry, seizing the golden opportunity, capitalizes on Carol's mistake to both protect his career and win her heart, igniting a whirlwind of romance, rivalry, and mistaken identities in this charming battle of wits.
