In the dimly lit Blue Cat Lounge, a down-and-out piano player (Denis Leary) delicately teeters on the brink of despair. Salvation seems to arrive in the form of an intriguing proposition from his detective friend (Michael Badalucco), promising a windfall enough to restore his fortunes.
