In the heart of a seemingly impeccable seven-year romance, lie Marta and Jorge, a couple whose love story is the envy of their close-knit circle of friends. However, this picture-perfect love, too perfect one might argue, stirs a silent tempest of unrequited feelings and secret desires. The youthful Bruno, smitten by Marta, yearns for her affection despite their age difference. His sister Lígia, Marta's confidante, harbors a hidden wish to see her brother find happiness with Marta.
Meanwhile, Carlos, a friend of Jorge, is entangled in a shallow dalliance with Lígia, while he clandestinely pines for Marta. His apprehension that their love and Marta's longing for marriage might cage his freedom leads him to hatch a plan.
