In the wake of a series of missteps, the rebellious Andy Walton finds himself at life's precipice. A compulsory summer exodus to a secluded and weatherworn cabin on an isolated island becomes his unexpected fate. Here, he is to reside under the watchful eye of his enigmatic Uncle Trent, a man he has never met, and share his exile with his younger brother, Mark. Their rustic retreat soon unveils an alluring mystery, the unexplained disappearance of their eccentric grandfather, who was rumored to possess a fortune.
