In the heart of Germany, Dennis Tormann, a young man barely out of his teens, finds himself embroiled in a two-year stint in prison for credit card fraud, his first taste of life behind bars. He lands in one of the most formidable cell blocks under the tyrannical rule of an inmate named Lutz, a figure he strives to avoid. Lutz, with the backing of a corrupt guard named Muller, wields power over the illegal drug trade within the prison.
Enter Kevin Letarski, a youthful, fragile inmate, who becomes a punching bag for Lutz but simultaneously forms a solidarity with Dennis, guiding him through the tangled webs of their brutal prison life.
