Plot

Freed from the confinements of a psychiatric ward, Jessica stakes her hopes on a fresh beginning, choosing an antiquated New England farmhouse as her sanctuary. Accompanied by her devoted husband and a close friend, they embark on a journey to reclaim normalcy. However, the tranquility of their remote homestead is disrupted when they discover a young red-haired transient, Emily, already residing there. Unfazed, they invite her to share their abode, unknowingly inviting an undercurrent of dread into their lives. As Jessica dips into the farm's serene lake for a swim, a chilling sight greets her just beneath the water’s surface - a body lying still and lifeless. The townsfolk reveal a haunting tale of a woman named Abigail Bishop, presumed to have drowned in the same lake with her body mysteriously vanished. Local legend paints Abigail as a bloodthirsty vampire, prowling the rural landscape after sundown. A mute blonde girl leads Jessica to a corpse, but when she returns with help, the body has disappeared, leaving her credibility hanging by a thread. As old men in the town appear with scarred necks and arms, the terrifying possibility that Emily might be the undead Abigail begins to manifest. Or is it Jessica's sanity that's slipping again, blurring the lines between reality and her worst nightmares? In the chilling narrative of "Let's Scare Jessica to Death," the viewer is left teetering on the edge of uncertainty, questioning the truth within the eerie tales of the town, the reality of Jessica's experiences, and the thin line that separates sanity from madness. This chilling tale weaves a web of suspense, leaving the audience guessing until the very end.
