Plot

Caught in the spiderweb of the syndicate, Su-hyun yearns for a simpler existence. He attempts to break free, opening a humble restaurant whilst aiding an old friend from his orphanage days. However, a tragedy strikes and he is wrongfully accused and imprisoned for a murder he didn't commit. Determined to unmask the real perpetrator, Su-hyun risks his life in a daring prison escape, landing in a hospital amidst chaos and uncertainty. Parallelly, we meet Sung-woo, a weathered homicide detective grappling with his own life's cruel twists. His estranged wife and ailing son, in dire need of a liver transplant, form the backdrop of his personal turmoil. Professionally, he's under fire for abandoning an undercover operation, resulting in his partner's untimely death. Drowning in guilt, he lashes out at his colleague's funeral, leading to his ejection from the ceremony. In a twist of fate, these two desperate souls collide, as Sung-woo, drunk with remorse, unwittingly becomes a hostage to the escaped prisoner, Su-hyun. This chance encounter sets the stage for a high-stakes game of survival and redemption, as both men battle their pasts and fight for a second chance at life, framed against the gritty, pulsating backdrop of a city in turmoil.
