Plot

In the year 1972, the Rolling Stones - a band of musical renegades - descend upon Texas as part of their Exile on Main Street tour. The concert features a pulsating playlist of 15 songs, with a significant portion hailing from the famed "Exile" album. The band, comprised of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Mick Taylor, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman, share a small, intimate stage with three other musicians, crafting a raw and electric atmosphere. As the lights dim into a shroud of darkness, the Stones emerge as powerful silhouettes against a stark black canvas. The camera lens is utterly infatuated with the charismatic Jagger, occasionally diverting to Taylor. Richards, the epitome of rock and roll, only graces the screen for his distinctive duets and the final two songs' mesmerizing guitar solos. From the first electrifying chord to the last reverberating note, the film is a rhythmic voyage through the landscape of hard rock ("All Down the Line"), soulful blues ("Love in Vain" and "Midnight Rambler"), and a heartening tribute to the legendary Chuck Berry ("Bye Bye Johnny"). And yet, the iconic "Satisfaction" is notably absent - a testament to the Stones' fearless exploration of their vast musical repertoire. Ladies & Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones is a movie that is pure, unadulterated music from beginning to end.
