High Fidelity (2000)

Rob makes lists obsessively. In fact, it's the only thing that can challenge his general obsession with music. He's reached a comfortable position in his life as a record store owner but has hit something of a midlife crisis at the same time. Insulated in his store by other music obsessives, Rob realizes that he needs to put his life into context. But when he makes a list of his top five best breakups, he realizes that lost love may have been sabotaging his life for years. Moving forward means putting his ex behind him, and it means coming to terms with the fact that she's met someone new.
