Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)

Kudo lives in feudal Japan in a small home. He's twelve and he's really ready for adventure. The world is ready to give it to him. His mother is ill and he's good with magic. It's how he earns his living. His father is gone and his mother can't remember what happened to him. So it's up to Kudo to try and find him again. Meanwhile, his maternal grandparents are cruel and mean. He must figure out how to get them to stop mistreating him and his father and seek out his fallen Samurai warrior father at the same time.
