Khosla Ka Ghosla! (2006)

In the bustling cityscape of New Delhi, the simple and dignified Kamalkishore "K.K." Khosla, portrayed by Anupam Kher, leads an unassuming upper-middle-class life. His world is interwoven with his devoted wife, Sudha, their industrious sons, Chiraunjilal and Balwant, and their spirited daughter, Nikki. The humdrum existence of Khosla's family takes an unexpected turn when they invest a substantial 30 Lakh rupees in a plot of land in Sapnavihar, facilitated by a seemingly trustworthy broker, Rajendra. Their dreams of a tranquil abode come crashing down when they discover the plot is illegitimately occupied by the ruthless Khurana Constructions. The head of this nefarious organization, Kishan Khurana, a man personified by Boman Irani, presents a chilling ultimatum - relinquish an extra 15 Lakh rupees or forfeit the land. Confronted with this blatant act of extortion, the Khoslas seek assistance from the Delhi Police, only to be met with conditional support hinging on the officer's share in the disputed money. The plot thickens when Balwant recruits local strongmen to reclaim the land, leading to Khosla's arrest and subsequent release, courtesy of Khurana's unexpected mercy and a reduced price for the plot. The Khosla family's trials and tribulations deepen when Chiraunjilal announces his plans to relocate to the U.S for better prospects, pushing Kamalkishore to the brink of surrender. However, their despair is short-lived as a beacon of hope emerges in the form of Asif Iqbal, Chiraunjilal's Visa agent. Iqbal, wronged by Khurana in the past, joins forces with the Khoslas in a daring scheme to outwit the cunning Khurana, risking everything to restore their usurped land. In a poetic turn of events, they succeed in swindling Khurana of Rs. 35 lakhs, thereby securing their rightful claim to the land. This tale of perseverance, cunning strategy, and a family's undying resolve to reclaim what is rightfully theirs, culminates in Khosla triumphantly taking possession of his plot, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats, rooting for the underdogs. Khosla Ka Ghosla! is a vibrant tribute to the relentless spirit of the common man in the face of corruption and deceit.
