In the bustling heart of Madrid, Julieta, a woman in the autumn of her life, finds herself poised on the precipice of a new beginning. With her partner Lorenzo, she is preparing to uproot her life and relocate to Portugal. However, an unexpected encounter with Bea, the former best friend of her estranged daughter Antia, unravels her plans. Bea reveals that Antia, absent from Julieta's life for a haunting twelve years, now resides in Switzerland, married with three children. The revelation shatters Julieta, the pain of her daughter's absence rekindled and magnified. In the wake of this encounter, she abandons her plans to move to Portugal, severing ties with Lorenzo and moving back into her old building in Madrid. She clings to a desperate hope that Antia might reach out to her, might fill the void left by her disappearance with a letter, a sign of life. Julieta finds herself alone with her memories, her past flooding back to her in waves of nostalgia and regret. To cope, she begins to pen the story of her life, revisiting the days of her youth. She remembers a young Julieta (Adriana Ugarte), full of life and love, and her passionate romance with Xoan, a Galician fisherman. She recalls how she divided her time between her family, her job, and raising Antia until a tragic accident irrevocably altered their lives. As Julieta delves deeper into her past, she confronts the slow spiral of depression that followed the accident. She remembers the solace she found in Antia and Bea, only for Antia to vanish without a trace, leaving her grappling for understanding and closure. As she navigates the labyrinth of her past, Julieta is desperate to unravel the mystery of Antia's disappearance and, in doing so, come to terms with the heartbreak that has defined her life.
