Plot
In the pulsating heart of Tel Aviv, the lives of three distinctively dissimilar women intertwine, painting a rich, multifaceted tableau of contemporary Israeli existence. The tale unfurls with Batya, a catering waitress, who stumbles upon a mysteriously deserted child on the city's vibrant beach. Her life becomes entwined with that of the child, adding a layer of unexpected responsibility and affection to her routine existence.
Simultaneously, the narrative threads into the life of Keren, a young bride whose dreams of a sun-drenched Caribbean honeymoon are shattered when she breaks her leg in a seemingly comedic escape from a locked toilet stall at her own wedding reception. Among the guests at the ill-fated celebration is Joy, a Philippine domestic worker grappling with a language barrier and a heart heavy with guilt for leaving her young son back home.
"Jellyfish" (Meduzot in Hebrew) is a vivid tapestry of divergent narratives, bound together by shared experiences and the complexity of life's unpredictability. Each woman embarks on a journey of self-discovery, their stories ebbing and flowing like the sea that laps the Tel Aviv shores, offering a captivating glimpse into the modern Israeli landscape.
