Click (2006)

Michael Newman walks into a Bed Bath & Beyond looking for a universal remote. After getting lost in the store, he falls asleep on a bed. He wakes up and receives a remote control from Morty, free of charge. Morty advises Michael the remote can never be returned. He takes the remote home and begins to use it. However, Michael quickly discovers the remote is capable of controlling everything. It's truly a universal remote, allowing Michael to speed up time and mute his surroundings, among other things. Michael believes he's received a true gift but may not realize the unintended consequences of using the remote.
