Plot
The day Italy enters World War II in 1940, a young boy gets his first bike and sees the stunning Malena for the first time. The raven-haired beauty has come to live in the boy’s Sicilian village as her husband goes off to war. Malena’s husband is subsequently killed and suddenly every man in town is drooling over this goddess-like woman. The young boy is also enchanted. Despite the age difference, he falls in love with Malena. As Malena faces jealous women, unwanted advances by men and the difficulties of widowhood, the boy becomes obsessed with helping her.
