Plot

In the bustling heart of Waltham's department store, Betty Lou, an unassuming shopgirl, secretly adores Cyrus Waltham Jr., the dashing and wealthy heir to the store empire. Despite her magnetic appeal, Betty Lou remains unseen in the eyes of Cyrus, as her life revolves around the store's counters, far removed from the glittering world Cyrus inhabits. Resolute to bridge this chasm, Betty Lou hatches a plan. She accepts an invitation from Monty, Cyrus's best friend, but only under the stipulation that their rendezvous takes place at the luxurious Ritz, where Cyrus is also scheduled for a dinner date. Her strategy sparks unexpected results, and soon, the department store magnate finds himself drawn to the charming shopgirl. Yet, their blossoming romance is threatened when a misstep in the press paints Betty Lou as an unwed mother. Moreover, the stark contrast between their worlds becomes all the more evident. Will the love between a woman who relishes Coney Island hot dogs and a man accustomed to the opulence of the Ritz survive these trials? In the end, it's the abundant allure Betty Lou possesses - the elusive "it" - that may hold the key to their hearts and future. The movie "It" (1927) is an enchanting dance of love, class, and misunderstanding set against the backdrop of the Roaring Twenties.
