Plot

In the heart of an 8-year-old boy, Ismael Tchou, burns a desire to meet his estranged father, Felix, a man he's never known. Armed with little more than a Barcelona address scribbled onto an old letter, Ismael embarks on a journey that takes him far from his familiar home and into the unknown. Upon reaching his destination, he doesn't find Felix, but instead, he encounters Nora, an elegant lady in her fifties living in the solitude of the mysterious apartment. Nora, Felix's mother, is stunned by the sudden appearance of her grandson, a child whose existence Felix had kept from her. Despite the shock, Nora doesn't question Felix's paternity when she finds him. With the child's mother, Alika, in the loop, Nora decides to bridge the gap between the father and the son. They set off on an expedition towards La Costa Brava, where Felix leads a secluded life. As this journey unfolds, Alika and her husband Luis embark on their own odyssey, racing against time to find their missing son. Throughout this poignant tale, each character grapples with their past, forging paths of reconciliation, acceptance, and redemption. Ismael's youthful determination intertwines with the adults' complex histories, creating an emotional tapestry that explores the depths of family bonds and the lengths one would go to discover their roots.
