Isi Life Mein (2010)

At the zenith of academic achievement in both the prestigious Sophia Senior Secondary School and the vast desert state of Rajasthan, dwells the ajmer-born luminary Rajnandini Khandelwal. Raised in the cocoon of conservatism, she shares her world with an extended joint family, alongside whom she's being primed for the traditional path of marriage. Her father, the devout Hindu Ravimohan, conducts the search for an ideal groom while her mother, in an unconventional twist, wishes for her to explore the art of western cookery. An opportunity arises, and Rajnandini lands in the bustling cosmopolis of Mumbai, living under the care of her sister, Shubha, and brother-in-law, Mukul. Here, she is permitted to immerse herself in the vibrant atmosphere of Modern College, where she is drawn to The Dramatics Society. She soon lands the role of 'Kate' in Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew'. Under the dazzling Mumbai lights, Rajnandini blossoms. She transforms, shedding her conventional attire for chic western wear, altering her physical appearance, and gradually developing an attraction for the charismatic Vivaan, a fellow student. But this newfound freedom is short-lived. An unexpected visit from Ravimohan wrenches her back into her former life. She finds herself facing the reality of a pre-arranged marriage to the progeny of a Delhi-based tycoon, Nareshchand, disrupting her dreams and challenging her newfound sense of self.
